WELCOME TO CMF WEB PAGE!
CMF is a new entropy-based method to quantify phylogenetic noise for the detection of significant compensatory mutations. It is developed to predict structurally or functionally important residue sites in protein sequences, which are likely to affect protein stability or functionality. These important sites can be further used to detect disease associated amino acid mutations (non-synonymous single nucleotide polymorphisms (nsSNPs)), responsible sites for the maintenance of internal protein volume, possibly key sites for the interaction within or between proteins, and the sites in protein sequences.
